Risk of rain 2 steam profile7/24/2023 Kinda implying for multiple people? You and li'l sis? Older bro? Steam wouldn't track those seperately. Unless they make 3 achievements for each difficulty. On top of that, the precious steam achievement system doesn't track which difficulty you completed something on. The in-game system is still making goals to do and completionist stuff. Think Don't Starve Together, which dodged achievements outside of events. There's nothing to stop a player from just giving themselves all the achievements. ![]() When you boot it up, it should be a completely clean save.Originally posted by Ittrix:What's wrong with the in-game achievements? Steam Achievements count towards the Steam Profile, can be tracked by date, friends can see them directly on the activity or compared against they own, and Achievements create an objective chase to get them all in the steam profile (the internal pleasure of any completionist player). Make sure the box is still unchecked when you go to reinstall. Uncheck that box, uninstall the game, and reinstall. Unless I would have to do it manually (which I don't know how to do) To wipe the data, right click RoR2 in your library, click properties, and in the General tab there should be an option "Keep game saves in the Steam Cloud for Risk of Rain 2". I would do this but the thing is R2ModMan f*cks up for me to, I can't even use mods, the game doesn't open (vanilla or modded) and I had to uninstall the modman. The only thing you'd lose out on would be your personal run stats. ![]() RoR2 doesn't disable achievement when using mods, so not a big deal making this work correctly. Then once that's done you can use an Unlocker mod to get back whatever you unlocked legit. You could also ask Steam Support to do it for you. I believe it's an option in the game properties, when you right click the game in your library and navigate the to properties menu. And before I reinstalled it said it brought back one file, but I don't know what that file was and I didn't see another ng save XML pop up.Īgain I don't know how to use the mod because the manager didn't launch my game.Įdit: Also how would I wipe it from the cloud I verified integrity, I thought that was the file validation. All RoR2 modding is on the Thunderstore Mod Manager, and it's really easy to set up. And the Unlocker mod is very easy to install. Yeah at this point it sounds like you should try my aforementioned fix and wipe the Steam Cloud save and start from scratch. I would really prefer to not drop this game because of some dumb sh*t like this. But I can't even do that because the XML ISN'T THERE and I can't open the game in the first place. I'd honestly be fine with just wiping all my progress as it is and getting everything else back, if it was the ONLY way. But I'd be more pissed if I just couldn't play altogether. ![]() Originally posted by FoxtersCorner:Also, let me clarify how this happened in the first place so maybe it'll be easier to help After reinstalling the game, the files remain the same (no ng save XML) but this time, the game won't even open properly, resulting in an error "game not responding" causing it to crash. I only see mine, of course, so I try other things like verifying integrity of game files (which I did a total of 5 times, 3 before uninstalling, which didn't help, and 2 after.) and uninstalling. I look everywhere, people are telling me about how my profile is most likely corrupted and to do the ng thing with the two XML save documents inside the UserProfile folder. Obviously, I was confused and already over it. ![]() Today I open the game, all those unlocks are now gone. So last night I achieved three challenges on Captain: Wanderlust, Worth Every Penny & Mastery. I've been noticing recently that every time I check the new things in my logbook, close the game, and boot it back up, I have to AGAIN check the logbook because the stuff is still highlighted. I open the game today after a long night of staying up and playing. Also, let me clarify how this happened in the first place so maybe it'll be easier to help
